Students must attend the Berkeley United School District.
Write on Sports is excited to partner with Berkeley United School District (CA) to host its inaugural Summer sports writing camp.
Write on Sports Berkeley will be working with 45 rising middle school students to elevate their writing and literacy skills by writing about sports through the lens of journalism.
Students will have the opportunity to interview professional, amateur, and college athletes, learn hands-on interviewing, reporting, and writing skills from professional journalists, and attend an Oakland Athletics baseball game with on-field interviews!

First Draft Academy works with under-resourced communities and school districts, focusing on middle school students, to improve their literacy skills by tapping into their passion – sports, the arts or whatever makes them tick!
